Job Summary And Responsibilities
The registered nurse is responsible to take primary responsibility to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care of each assigned patient. Provide direct patient care. Supervise the activities of nursing staff members. Anticipate patients' needs. Follow-up on all care related activities and assure all physician orders are accurately transcribed and carried out in a timely manner. Coordinate the plan of care. Conduct patient teaching specific to disease entity and home management. Actively participate in assuring care continuum. Collaborate with other nursing and ancillary services to assure seamless communication and uninterrupted patient care. Model leadership behaviors. Foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork. Mentor peers and colleagues.
Job Requirements
1 year of operating room/surgical and 1 year CV experience including but not limited to: CABG surgery, OFF pump and On pump
Coronary Bypass grafts, Aortic Dissections, Valve Replacements, TVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair) , Redo Cardiac Surgeries.
2 years of operating/surgical experience. If operational conditions permit, training a candidate without the required experience may be considered. Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.
CA RN, BLS and ACLS required
BSN and PALS preferred

Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds, 48 licensed critical care beds, 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites, and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. In addition, we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center, the Lauren Small Children's Center including the area's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Family Care Center, a Level II NICU, the Sarvanand Heart, and Brain Center with Kern County's first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite, the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics, and many more services. Memorial Hospital is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital and is home to the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House. Pay Range
$43.37 - $68.25 /hour
